Curriculum

Timetable and Courses

Out of consideration for pupils with long commutes to school, we allow a 50-minute window for them to arrive at school every morning. Then, at the end of the day, we also allow a generous length of time for them to stay behind and play or enjoy reading before they go home. After school, the younger pupils (1st, 2nd and 3rd year grades) mainly play in the schoolyard or take part in activities in the library, while the older pupils belong to clubs and immerse themselves in sports or creative activity.

We also hold readings of children's books in both Japanese and English in the library, as well as programs of optional participation in music, art, experiments, etc., to stimulate the pupils' curiosity. At Keio Yokohama Elementary School, we not only build a firm foundation for learning both inside and outside the classroom and subjects, but also foster a rich sensitivity and individuality through sports and creative activities.
